There are several time zones. As a large and continental country, Brazil has multiple time zones across its different regions. Most of the Brazilian territory follows GMT -3, particularly in the Central-West, Southeast, and South regions, where daylight saving time is observed between November and February, shifting to GMT -2. Some parts of the Northern region follow GMT -5, while other areas in the same region follow GMT -4.
In some countries, yes. Brazil has free movement agreements with many countries; however, for some, a visa is required, which can be issued in different categories: business, tourism, medical treatment, etc. Generally, the processes are simple and quick. For more information, CLICK HERE to learn about each one. If you need further clarification, please contact our customer service.
Brazil does not require the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (CIVP) for entry into the country, but it is recommended that foreigners visiting certain areas in Brazil be vaccinated against yellow fever. In this case, vaccination is advised at least 10 days before the visit. However, if the visitor is heading to regions where there is no specific vaccination recommendation, the vaccine is not necessary. To learn more about which vaccines may be required, please CLICK HERE. If you have any doubts, feel free to contact us for more information.
Yes. Brazil is a country with no history of natural disasters. There are no volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, or other similar events, and the country does not face wars or terrorist groups. Like many large countries, Brazil has regions with minor crimes and occasionally more serious incidents. However, our job is to inform and filter the locations of these regions to ensure there are no unpleasant occurrences with tourists. For this, we provide security assistance and avoid certain times and areas during transfers that may pose risks. We also have a behavior manual for each passenger arriving in Brazil, along with trained guides to provide clear and objective explanations every day.
Varied. Brazil generally has a pleasant tropical climate, with summer-like conditions throughout most of the country year-round. However, it is important to note that due to Brazil’s vast size, there are different regions with varying climates depending on the location and the time of year. For more information, Abbey Travel will provide a personalized calendar with detailed temperature information based on each booked trip. For preliminary information about Brazil’s climate, please CLICK HERE.
We recommend US Dollars or Euros. The official currency of Brazil is the Brazilian REAL; however, for currency exchange, we suggest travelers bring US Dollars or Euros, as these are widely accepted in Brazil and offer better exchange rates at currency exchange shops. Initially, passengers do not need to exchange money at airports due to the high fees. Our guides can direct travelers to stores where the exchange rates are more favorable and the fees are lower. We do not recommend using other currencies.
